From Small Town Roots To Making a Big Impact: The Journey of Whole Body Outreach Ministries Founder
DOROTHY A. COOPER, CEO/COORDINATOR

Dr. Dorothy A. Cooper, CEO of Whole Body Outreach Ministries, is a true Arkansan at heart, having been born and raised in the small town of Turrell. Her compassion for those who suffer from worldly pain has been present since she was just three years old, and it has remained a defining characteristic throughout her life.
In addition to her work with Whole Body Outreach Ministries, Dr. Cooper has held numerous leadership roles in her community. She was the first and only female mayor of Turrell, Arkansas, serving from 2015 to 2019. She also ran for the Arkansas State Senate seat in her district twice and served as President of the Arkansas Black Mayors Association.
Currently, Dr. Cooper serves as the President/Branch Coordinator of the Crittenden County NAACP Branch, all while continuing to fulfill the mission of Whole Body Outreach Ministries. Her Honorary PhD in Christian Counseling, which she obtained in July 2021, is a testament to her dedication to serving others.
Dr. Cooper is the daughter of Fannie Dyson and the late Jessie Dyson Sr. of Turrell. She is a proud mother of five adult children and nine grandchildren, whom she loves deeply. Her commitment to her family, her community, and the mission of Whole Body Outreach Ministries is an inspiration to all who know her.
